Adult orthodontics improves your appearance, boosts self-esteem, and enhances your quality of life. A healthy, elegant smile gives you the confidence to let your personality shine in your professional and personal life.
The health benefits of a proper bite last a lifetime. Straight teeth are much easier to keep clean, reducing tooth decay and gum disease. When your upper and lower teeth meet properly, you minimize abnormal wear on your tooth enamel, gum loss, and bone loss. A proper bite can alleviate headaches, jaw (TMJ/TMD) pain, and even improve your speech. Everyone’s needs and goals are different, so we offer various options for adult orthodontics!
Everyone is unique, which is why we offer several options for our adult patients to improve their smile:
We work hard to provide for our families and set our children up for success. You also deserve to have a healthy and gorgeous smile. Adults everywhere are taking advantage of tech-forward treatments that fit even the busiest of schedules. Maybe you never had orthodontic treatment or didn’t wear your retainer properly. It’s never too late to invest in yourself with adult orthodontics.
Surgical orthodontics (orthognathic surgery) is sometimes needed when the upper or lower jaw doesn’t align properly and can’t be corrected with braces alone. In these cases, Dr. Lynskey will guide you through the entire process, from preparing your teeth before surgery to coordinating with a trusted oral surgeon, and finishing treatment after healing. This procedure is typically recommended once jaw growth is complete (around age 18+). Braces are worn for 12–18 months before surgery, followed by a short healing period and a few more months of fine-tuning.
